Defying Communist taboos and risking prison, the eminent doctor secretly performed the series of world's first full gender-affirming operations, capturing every step on his own 8 mm camera.

Production Challenges: Accessing Soviet-era archives, interviewing surviving witnesses, and digitally restoring 8mm footage from the 1960s required extensive research across three countries.

Impact: Premiered at multiple international film festivals, sparking important conversations about LGBTQ+ history in Eastern Europe. The film has been acquired by several European broadcasters and educational institutions.
